SMALL TOOLS SHOULD BE EASY TO USE
Accessibility
The interface is designed for keyboard access, readable layouts and a clear distinction between a symbol and its explanation.
What is built in
- A skip link leads past the header to the main content.
- Forms use visible labels, native inputs and clear buttons.
- Keyboard focus has a visible outline; controls are not identified by color alone.
- Tool results have text names and explanations, not just emoji.
- Feedback and errors are announced through status regions.
- Layouts reflow on small screens and at larger text sizes.
- There are no autoplay animations or essential hover-only interactions.
Using the tools with a keyboard
Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move through links, buttons and fields. Use Enter or Space to activate buttons. Open the navigation menu on smaller screens with its labeled button. FAQ questions use native disclosure controls. Choose a quiz answer with its radio button, then select Check answers.
Emoji and assistive technology
Screen readers may announce Unicode emoji using names supplied by the platform. Those names can differ from the site’s labels. Results also give a written name and common meaning. Decorative emoji are hidden from assistive technology where they do not add information. Missing glyphs or unsupported sequences depend on the device’s font support.
Reading, zooming and printing
You can zoom or enlarge text using browser controls. No tool has a timer. Download text offers a simple alternative to the visual result card. Print result uses a simplified result-only layout. The readability of a printed or saved PDF also depends on the browser, printer and settings you choose.
Known limits and reporting
We aim for accessible design but do not claim a completed independent accessibility audit or universal assistive-technology compatibility. Hosting changes or other WordPress extensions may affect the experience. Tell us the page, action, expected result and barrier you encountered, with browser or assistive-technology details if possible.
